Would give more stars because the food is pretty good (wasn't the biggest fan of the yellow curry, it was very sweet from the coconut milk and needed more spice), I like their vegetarian pho but I've also had better of that. I wish their vegetarian pho had a higher variety of veggies like water chestnuts and heart of palm. Or at least more of mushrooms and the tofu. The reasons for me giving 3 stars is 1. They don't offer their vegan/vegetarian pho on the menu which is why I hadn't tried this place before now (it's hardly 5 mins from my house) 2. On a Friday night I tried to go there and they closed 30 minutes before their time on their door and website3. The food for me (as a vegan) wasn't special.
Hidden gem for pho. Crispy spring rolls. Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea are so good.
First time there. Friendly staff but the food is garbage. Ordered two different pho’s and received two of the same. The egg rolls weren’t good either and the fried shrimp was mediocre. $30 in the trash and won’t be going back.
Good solid standard for Vietnamese food. Several options for vegan dishes (chay). Prices are excellent. Service is always attentive. I had the tofu with Chinese broccoli.
It's quiet. Not many people go to this one but the quality is almost as good as the others in town. The staff is friendly and quick and they have a pretty big fish tank. Not the best Pho I've had but pretty good. Spring rolls aren't recommended.
Great coconut chicken curry
My husband and I consider the pho here as our comfort food. It's just simply the best pho in frederick. P1 their house special is my favorite. We tried others and nothing compared to viet gourmet. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Food is always amazing!
This was my second visit. The food during the first visit was very good. Our most recent visit was even better. Nice presentation. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, helpful wait staff and service
I really do think this is a pretty excellent restaurant. Like any other restaurant, there are always things to improve. Call me an easy rater, but they are still five stars in my book. Their best quality is their level of service
Great quality Pho, and other dishes. The Pho came hot, fast and delicious.
Only visited once, and will NOT come back. Ordered Pho, and it was bad.
Always enjoy my meals.
I ordered the Pho with flank steak and brisket beef... I got to admit it was yummy. Plus I had a glass of red wine and as a side appetizer we had steamed dumplings with duck meat. Overall the experience was fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly..I would recommended this place if you love Pho!! Soft music in the background, very pleasant atmosphere. Bring your friends its a relaxing place with great food!!
I was very impressed with Viet Gourmet. They covered all of the bases for me. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was quick. Pricing was reasonable. Extremely clean as well
Pros: - Fresh Ingredients. You can taste the difference - Good atmosphere - Speedy service Cons: - Nothing really stands out. I'm sure there is room for improvement and they aren't always perfect, but in my experience they have really exceeded expectations
Add caramel chicken for another 🌟. Pork was good, though. Crispy rolls delish!
VERY salty, but I'm going to ask if possible to cut back next time. Fresher than most similar restaurants
This is an excellent spot for pho. Incredible broth and juicy meats.
Yummy in my tummy! Viet rolls n beef phõ
Minimal wait time to be seated. Food tasted fresh and was cooked to order. Service was spot on. Enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere
Drove by this place and saw it on my return. The small parking lot was full, so something had to be good. The food was perfect and my waiter did an excellent job. It's not a beautiful place with ambience, but the food exceeded my expectations.
Great food, great service and friendly staff. I visit once or twice a week for lunch and have had quite a few dishes. It's all good.
The Phó is one the best in town.
This is now my go-to place for pho soup. I cannot recommend the soup from this place more. I cannot speak for the other items. The restaurant might not look that great, but the food is awesome
Always a great place to go for pho soup.
Huge portion of every food just too bad no kids meal 😣😣
First Vietnamese restaurant for us, so we totally relied on waiter's recommendations. We were very happy with the food and service. Looking forward to a return visit.
The pho is AMAZING! Service was great. Waitress was informative and very helpful! Definitely a hidden gem and will be coming back!
My waiter was very courteous and responsive to us. We had a large table and he was always available when we needed something. I liked the atmosphere here as well. Quite relaxing
Best Vietnamese dining delight adjacent to Fort Detrick and central Frederick. On this visit we were pleasantly greeted by the Chef/Co-owner who adeptly collected our first selections. The appetizers appeared promptly. As we glanced over the menu pondering something for a late lunch, our spring rolls (steamed shrimp, vermicelli noodles, mung bean sprouts, fresh basil, lettuce, cucumber gently wrapped in rice paper) arrived with Nuoc Mam (peanut dipping sauce). In addition, we were served a freshly prepared hot & sour shrimp soup, along with a generous portion of tofu (long cubes of tofu quick fried to a light golden brown) served with 2 dipping sauces (yes, peanut and a sweet chili sauce). The wait staff was attentive and efficient. We enjoyed our brief visit and look forward to our next.
I have a peanut allergy. I asked for no peanut products at all. I ordered the bun/vermicelli bowl with egg rolls, shrimp and pork. I ate one bite and felt the pain in my throat that lets me know in no uncertain terms I have eaten something with peanut in it.The waitress was nice, but the kitchen relayed that nothing was made with peanuts or peanut oil. Incorrect, and as long as they insist that, nobody will find out what sloppy practices led to peanut being in my food. The one bite I had was delicious, but I will never come here again and suggest that anyone with an allergy avoid this place.
Good Pho. Good Tea.
The waitress told me they pick up their food fresh daily which is why it tastes so good. They do it all right here. Coming back again
Best Pho I've had in a long time! The place is always empty, so perfect for a *second* date where you want to actually hear your date. Don't come for people watching... come for the nooooodles!
Excellent food. A diamond in the rough.
The dumplings were okay, the orange chicken was very dry and chewy. I would reccomend just sticking to the soups.
This place is the absolute worst. I LOVE Vietnamese food and I would NEVER eat here. I've been here 3 times and every time was an absolute trainwreck. If you like this place, you obviously don't have a clue about Vietnamese food.
Their Pho is especially good and my favorite location for this dish in Frederick. Their other meals are somewhat unremarkable. Great wait staff however, and always plenty of seating available.
I really like the rare slices of beef with lime juice dish. You get a bunch of delicious thinly sliced rare beef which is so good. Then they top it off with mint, lemons, cilantro, onions, and peanuts. I highly recommend trying it
Great lunch specials...really solid food.
The pho is incredible! Great broth, quality basil and bean sprouts, super tender chicken and delicious noodles. We tried them today for the first time after being regular customers of that other place on the Corner and we won't go anywhere else but Viet Gourmet moving forward. I'm still reeling from the amazing flavor of the Pho! Best Pho in Frederick, hands down!
Great service here. I love that they get their food fresh from the market daily. They also give out coupons regularly so I rarely pay full price.
My wife and I love coming here. The food is always great, and the service is always friendly and timely. This is definitely our favorite destination for pho in Frederick, and they also have great other dishes!
Off the beaten path location. Looks like an old convenience store converted to a restaurant. Seating is fine, server was very personable and food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. My first time there, but it will not be my last. Try it you will like it.
Its okay
My cousin and I ate there for lunch . Loved the food very fresh the waitress was really nice.
Always friendly service and good Vietnamese food. Good pho, and generally less busy than some of the other similar restaurants in the area.
Good and authentic!good size portions and great service. if you like Vietnamese food you will enjoy this place.
